Het is de vijfde keer dat Samenleving en politiek en Stichting Gerrit Kreveld een Engelstalig jaarboek uitgeven. In Belgian Society and Politics 2011 – The Flemish Left amidst a Nationalist Surge bundelen we een reeks bijdragen over de politieke actualiteit en de impasse die ontstond na de verkiezingsoverwinning van de Vlaams-nationalisten. We pogen met deze publicatie niet alleen hun opgang te documenteren en te verklaren, maar hebben daarnaast ook aandacht voor de stand van zaken en antwoorden van Links op het heersende natievormingdiscours.
